Who are we?

West Ealing Bowls and Social Club has been in existence at its present location since 1923, making it one of the older Bowls Clubs in the Borough of Ealing. Since its creation it has seen many changes both in facilities and membership, yet it maintains a family atmosphere. Young and old are encouraged to play bowls, and indeed members of all ages have represented their County in various competitions, even to National levels.

What can we offer?

West Ealing Bowls and Social Club is presently a Private Members Club with membership open by invitation only from any current Club member. Both ladies and men are welcome for either bowling or social membership. Young people from the age of 7 to 17 years can join as Junior Bowls Members but a parent or legal guardian must also be a Club member.

As well as a full size outdoor 6 rink bowling green, the Club also has a full-size snooker table, darts and a licensed bar. stocking various beers and lagers, plus a wide range of spirits and soft drinks.

Social events also take place from time-to-time and the Club is available for Members own family functions. A monthly cash draw, the '500 Club', takes place every third Friday of the month when Members can win a share of the prize fund.

Promoting Lawn Bowls

The aim of the Club is to actively promote the game of bowls in Ealing and Middlesex for both ladies and men, with particular emphasis on encouraging young people to take an interest in the sport. By being a member of the Club, access is also available to Local, County and National Bowls competitions and the Club supports members wishing to take part in such games. The Club is fortunate in having fully qualified Bowls Coaches as members and thus, full instruction as to the rules and etiquette of the game is always available. The image of lawn bowls to many people is that it is 'an old mans game'. This image could not be further from the truth at West Ealing. The game is skilful and very competitive but always played in good spirit.
