6th February 2012 - West Ealing beaten by Hounslow IBC

West Ealing BC lost by 89 shots to 70 against Hounslow IBC on Saturday, West Ealing's only winning rink being that of Jenny Fox, Ray Allen, John Carey and Sue Butcher (skip).

West Ealing's next indoor fixture is against Jack Hi IBC on Sunday March 11th at 2.30pm when 3 Mixed rinks will be playing. 

4th February 2012 - West Ealing Ladies, representing Hounslow IBC, reach final stages of the Nationals

The combination of Val van Baars, Pam Hughes, Brenda Line and Rene Barber have reached the final stages of the EIBA Nationals at Melton Mowbray.

Val, Pam, Brenda and Rene make up the 4's, Val, Brenda and Rene the Triples, and Brenda and Rene the Pairs.

3rd February 2012 - The Quiz

Nine teams turned out for the Club Quiz tonight on a cold & frosty night. However, contestants were warmed up by chicken curry provided by Norma Howland. Most thought the quiz tonight was 'challenging' but still good fun. Results can be seen here..

19th January 2012 - Roger Weston

We have learned today that Roger has passed away following an illness. Our condolences go to his family and friends. Roger was well known to West Ealing members during his many years at Brentham Bowls Club. He was a talented and well respected bowler and individual, and the Middlesex bowls world will miss him.

His funeral is at Breakspear Crematorium next Friday 27th January at 11.15am.

14th January 2012 - First game of 2012

West Ealing sent a team of 4 mixed rinks to Cambridge Park Indoor Bowls Club today for what is an annual fixture. The result was a 3-1 win to Cambridge Park, the only winning rink for West Ealing being that of Ray Allen, Glynis Hillier, Val van Baars and Terry Pettitt (skip)

6th January 2012 - Quiz results

An exciting night - after 4 years of the Club quiz, we had a tie for the winning position, with two teams on 47 points, the 'Chefs Table' and the 'Godfrey Clan'. After a ridiculous tie break question (how many eggs were put on the Titanic on its maiden voyage) the nearest team to the answer was the 'Chefs Table', Tony and Caroline Magee with Norma Howland. (the actual number of eggs was 40,000, most of which are still at the bottom of the Atlantic!)

2nd December 2011 - Quiz results

Tonight saw the final quiz of 2011 at West Ealing BC, with a turn out of 9 teams taking part. Again, good to see our friends from Brentham BC, who always manage to bring a bit of hilarity into proceedings, and two former members of West Ealing, Dave Sheriton and Ian Henderson. 20th November 2011 - West Ealing Presentation Night

West Ealing held their Annual Presentation Dinner and Dance evening at West Middlesex Golf Club last night, with the Middlesex County Bowls Association President, Brian Elbourn and his wife Kathy as the guests of honour. The evening was a great success despite having only 51 guests there due to some Members and friends having previous engagements.
