It is with sadness that we share the loss of another member of the club.
Roger Egleton passed away suddenly.
Roger was a skilled carpenter and had his own business for several years.
He started bowling at the Gunnersbury Park Club in the 1980's and moved to Lammas Park about 1995.
When that closed he moved to Hounslow Conservatives around 2009, where he won the Mens Singles Championship twice and held the post as Fixture Secretary for a few years. Roger often helped the team that looked after the green and its surroundings.
He moved here, to West Ealing, in 2022 but was unable to bowl very much as he was restricted by bad knees and other ailments. But he did try to come to the club at times, especially to add some help to the green team with various tasks.
Roger's funeral will be held on Tuesday, 18th March 2025 at 1:20pm at Mortlake Crematorium.
