Sadly we have to inform you that Ray Allen passed away on Sunday 4 February.
Ray was a long-term member until his close mate Bill Fletcher passed away from covid in 2021.
Ray was a lead bowler both indoors and outdoors, and a stalwart in the Ad Finem league until he left the club. He would always cut the hedges around the green, although all of this was more difficult as he became more frail.
There will be a Memorial Service to Ray on Friday 8 March at 1 PM. It will be in St. Pauls’ Church, Brentford. Any of Ray’s friends are welcome.
St. Paul’s Church is on St. Paul’s Road, Brentford, just off Half Acre and by the old Brentford Police Station. Parking nearby is difficult to find. The E2, E8 and 195 bus stop in Half Acre is close.
