It is great regret that we have to inform you that Ron Burton passed away on Friday 29 December.
Ron was a member for many years, before he and his wife Yvonne moved down to Poole, Dorset. Ron remained a Life Member (our longest-serving), and attended many tours and presentation nights, before the journey became too much.
During his time at the club, Ron was long-standing bar manager, and most Christmases would would combine his other interests by refereeing the annual charity football match on the field.
On the green, Ron won the Men's Triples in 1988, with J.Roan and E (Rupe) Claridge.
We send our condolences to Ron's family.

Ron's funeral will be at Poole Crematorium, Dorset. It will be on Friday 2nd February at 12 noon. Anyone wishing to attend, please liaise with Pedro, so he can coordinate transport and let the family know numbers.
